Final Thoughts

Since the final delivery of this project in 2022, many features and ideas have come to life on platforms like Spotify. At the time of writing this, 2025, Spotify has introduced proximity based "Jams"that allow listeners to quickly join active music playing. The credit based system has and continues to be a feature of song machines at bars, almost always being on a pay-to-play program. This is not to brag about any prophetic music-sharing (maybe a little bit) but demonstrable proof that there exists common pain-points in the listening experience. Hopefully we can see the day where artists are compensated for their work, and music isn't siloed by streaming platforms!
